The Amazing Content And Value I Got From Grant Cardone's 10X Growth Conference.

With Keven Harrington, Daymond John, and Grant Cardone to Name But a Few Speakers.


This three day event took place in the Diplomat Beach Resort Miami Florida USA presented by Grant Cardone on March 17th-19th 2017. The first day was on sales and called the Sales Summit. You can buy the re-run of the event here

Sales Summit

The line up of speakers was impressive and they delivered content and value worth of the ticket price, which were not cheap and you get what you pay for just like (Grants favorite brand) a Hublot watch. The Twitter tag was #10x although some including myself did use #10xGrowthCon.

Sherri

The venue was packed about 2000 people with seats at the back and VIP tables and speakers at the front with massive video screens so you could see the action on stage, even at the very back.

The conference opened up with an introduction from Chief Operations Officer COO for Cardone Training Technologies Sheri Hamilton, a word from the man himself Grant Cardone and the event master of ceremonies was Jarrod Glandt .

The first speaker was Kevin Harrington ex Shark Tank and father of the Infomercial.

Child Entrepreneur

Kevin explained how he had the entrepreneur spirit as a child and mentored by his entrepreneur father Charlie, and went on to work in business, then run a business, while still under sixteen and then progressed further buying and selling businesses into his young adult years.

Always on the lookout for something that he could make money from. Giving himself a good all round knowledge of all the different elements that make up businesses, sales marketing, inventory, legal and then offered these services to other business called the Small Business Center.


Two Eureka Moments

Then Kevin went on to talk about two eureka moments that had a big impact on his life and his work. The first was noticing how in the 1980’s television was not 24 hours like to day but some channels stop programmes at 2 am and transmitted a test signal, a waste of air time and at the very same time Kevin would go to trade shows looking for inspiration and products he could re-sell.

At one of the trade shows he attended, he had seen a pitch for a Ginsu knife and was impressed with the presentation, he then put the presentation in the time slot not used by the program providers and the infomercial “as seen on TV was born”, this went viral and sales went global doing $500 million in sales.



The second was appearing on Shark Tank , he took the offer from Marc Burnett the producer of Survivor and the Apprentice and it was a gamble that payed off not only for the programme but for Kevin too, Making himself known personal through out the USA.


What Kevin Harrington Learned

Kevin then went on to share what he learned through out his forty years of being an entrepreneur. His mistakes and what he does now that makes a difference to success and failure.
What he did in the past (his mistakes) and what he does now as you should do NOW as an entrepreneur for a successful business.

A Great Back Story From Tom

Next up was Tom Cummins CEO, President American Power & Gas LLC. He was a little nervous at first but soon got in to the swing of things , with a great back story, born in Las Vegas, became a drug addict, then a convicted criminal sent to prison and then turned his life around.

Born Sales Person

Tom is a born sales person but also lost businesses which taught him valuable lessons in life.
Tom speech was full of emotion of the events of his life, Tom went through what he learned in his business career and gave advice on what has made his business life successful.

What do YOU want to be?

Tom asked questions of people; What do YOU want to be? What do YOU want to have? You have got to be good at sales and you have got to focus on the steps to riches not just the dream or vision (action not just thoughts) that you have.

Culture is Everything To Jack

Next up was Jack “JJ” Jackintelle who is president and COO of Rick Case Automotive Group. Jack certainly has a presence on stage of a person in terms of stature of person who knows what he wants and takes no prisoners.


Build a Foundation

Jack’s talk was about culture and discipline need to build a foundation and he is an admirer of “Chic fill A” fast food company’s culture.
Jack does not comprise on his core values of which he named 5 core principles. He also stated three key culture traits.

Cut the Small Talk

Next up was Bobby Castro, who is a co-founder of Bankers Healthcare Group and currently serves as the company’s President.

He’s an expert in commercial financing and has decades of business experience. He was named 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year for Financial Services. Bobby his business is currently valued at $600 million dollars.

Mute Till Seven Years Old

He stated he did not talk till he was seven and one of a large family, from an early age he was an entrepreneur. He had family troubles, but managed to start and fail business , only carry on and start again.

Your Time is Valuable

He values his time and so should YOU he says, he does not need social etiquette, he has no time to waste, gets what he needs and will reciprocate and quickly move on, putting stuff into action not wasting time.

Next was the CEO panel, where all three speakers did a question and answer session and give short answers to Grant Cardone questions, which were interest to Grant for himself his business and hopefully you too.

Next Up was Brad Lea AKA “ The Real Brad Lea” on stage to the Tune “ all the way up” one of two founders and CEO of @LightSpeedVT .

Brad Lea is a leading authority on interactive virtual training that has reinvented the way training, learning and communication is delivered, tracked and measured.

A self-made entrepreneur with over 25 years in sales & marketing, specializing in monetizing content, maximizing brand value, and generating revenue.



How I Pitched Grant Cardone

Telling the story how he got Grant on the VT platform, was a great sales person as a child, how he ran a car dealership, then turned to doing sales training and then developed the VT platform with his partner.

5 Factors To Business Success

He then gave a presentation of five factors to business success. And then a quick question and answer with Grant Cardone.

Sales Expert and Star of Spike TV “Life or Debt”

Next Up was Victor Antonio Sales Expert and Star of Spike TV “Life or Debt” who had just flew in from Egypt.

Victor's talk was on Business to Business (B2B) born into a poor family and became an engineer then moved into sales, then became a manger and then sales director, and now a consultant too.

Victor became more enigmatic on stage and was engaging while delivering a strategy for business to business sales.

His B2B Sales Process and NOW YOURS

Victor took the audience through his sales strategist process, which should 10x your business strategy and closed his talk with a 10x pledge, his hand on heart while he told the audience stand up and they did the same.

Next up was Andy Frisella; Entrepreneur, Speaker, Author The MFCEO Project Podcast, CEO 1st Phorm.

A Self Made Sales Man

Andy started his first Supplement Superstore in Springfield, Missouri. Andy went through how he started in business, selling door to door and opening a tanning salon.

Word Of Mouth

Andy gives customer service beyond what other competitors do, he uses customer referrals or word of mouth to build his business, no bought advertisements.
He went through what he expects from his employees and talked what value he gives to his customers.

Shark Tank Star In The House

Next up was the final was speaker Daymond John Founder & CEO of FUBU, and Star of ABC’s Shark Tank who gave a question and answer interview with the host of the event Mr Grant Cardone.

Who’s Your Daddy?

Mr Daymond John and no, Elton John is not his Daddy (Grants Joke).

Digital Society

Daymond took us through his career and how the capitalist society has changed from an agricultural to a industrial, to a digital society and YOU must move with the times, the old ways of doing business have moved on and so should YOU.



Glow

While he currently basks in the “Glow” of Shark Tank, he knows that it will not last for ever and therefore encourages people to collaborate, partner and find other sources of revenue, they can move on to or run in parallel, keeping your pipeline full is a must, Daymond does not stop nor should YOU.

Social Media and Branding

Daymond’s Talk was about using all of social media to sell your products services and or ideas however you are your own branding and this must be promoted correctly.

Daymond also said You need to know how to sell in today's world, taking advantage of all social media platforms.

Daymond gave a case of a person selling tee-shirts on social media. Daymond Finished off his interview with a sale himself of his own virtual branding programme, which is a available.

The day’s Event has Finished The VIP Party has Started

Daymond John was and is a big presence at the event and great speaker to close that day on.

All the speakers gave great value and content, the key theme was Sales and known as the “Sales Summit Day”.

There were booths were you could virtually put your self in the 10x main logo picture of all speakers and other stuff.

There was rest breaks, an hour for lunch and welcome party and a VIP Yacht party that night.

I think most people would be happy with what they got if they just got that one day for the price of the ticket.

There is another two days of speakers and presentations, there was a VIP pool party at Grants Home for the people with VIP tickets on the Saturday, the second day too.
